MERITS
Could work well in an age when competing political parties are hard to understand so long as there was a way to easily spell out “the basics.” Works well when the basics have been abandoned and innovative policies have failed.
DRAWBACKS
A clear message is difficult even with effective commercials. Competing parties will invariably throw cogs in the wheel, adding their misinformation. Simple ideas are also not necessarily the best ones.
